Coming Home Cottage

Bernard's Coming Home Cottage is a 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage located in a secluded wooded area in the small fishing village of Bernard.   Privately nestled on over an acre of mossy covered pine forest Coming Home welcomes your arrival.  On one side of this well layed out cottage is the master bedroom with a queen size bed and master bath.  The center of the house is the large open cathedral ceiling living room, kitchen, and dining area.  The opposite side of the house is the second bedroom with a double bed, the third bedroom with a double bed, and the second bathroom.   The exposed hand hued beams that were salvaged from an old barn on the island increase the splendor of the unique inverted hull ceiling.  A charming gas log fireplace gives a warm ambiance for those chilly Maine evenings or for the book that you just can't put down.  This tastefully decorated cottage mixes modern and antique furniture and with the over sized windows allows plenty of natural light and outside beauty to wash in.  All this and more will provide you the comfort to ensure a memorable vacation on the "Quietside" of Mount Desert Island.   Some pets allowed for an additional fee of $100.00 a week.  Due to insurance we can not allow rottweiler or pit bills.  Ammenities include:  Fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer,TV/VCR/DVD, telephone, stereo system, and deck complete with gas grill

No smoking.  Some pets allowed (for an additional fee).
Occupancy: 6 people. 

                                                             

Available weekly for 2012:

May 8 - June 15: $800.00/week 

June 16 - August 31: $1000.00/week  $1900.00/biweekly

September 1 - October 29: $800.00/week

October 30- May 7:  $700.00/week

Pet fee:  an additional $100.00 a week.

There is also a $300.00 deposit which will be returned within 14 days of your departure from Coming Home Cottage.

Feels like Coming Home! This cozy cottage has a well-equipped, comfortable kitchen, a dining area that seats 6, a breakfast bar that seats 2, and is wonderfully inviting on chilly evenings.
The master bedroom (above, left) has a queen sized bed and full bath. The second bedroom features a double bed, and the third has a double bed.
